Starting Point: Arughat Bazaar

Day 1: Begin your journey with a picturesque drive from Kathmandu, soaking in the stunning views of the hills and Himalayas from the comfort of a tourist bus. After around 7 hours, you’ll arrive at Arughat. Enjoy lunch before embarking on a thrilling 3-hour guided rafting experience on the Budi Gandaki. You’ll set up camp at Aakhu Dovan by the riverbank for the night.

Day 2: After breakfast, continue rafting for about 5 hours until you reach Charaudi. Lunch will be provided along the way. Following the rafting adventure, return to Kathmandu via vehicular transportation.

2-Night 3-Days Budi Gandaki and Trishuli Rafting Package

Starting Point: Arughat Bazaar
Ending Point: Kurinighat

Day 1: Enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar, with breaks for refreshments. Upon arrival, explore the historic Arughat Bazaar before embarking on a 3-hour guided rafting adventure on the Budi Gandaki. Overnight camping at Aakhu Dovan.

Day 2: Start the day with breakfast before rafting for 4 hours on the Budi Gandaki. After lunch, transition to the Trishuli River, merging with the Budi Gandaki. Arrive at Charaudi for overnight camping.

Day 3: Continue rafting on the Trishuli River for 3-4 hours, experiencing its fast-moving waters. Lunch will be served along the way. Conclude the adventure at Siddhartha Resort in Kurinighat, where transportation back to Kathmandu will be arranged.

3-Nights 4-Days Budi Gandaki, Trishuli, and Marshyangdi River Rafting

Starting Point: Arughat Bazaar
Ending Point: Simaltar

Day 1: After a 7-hour scenic drive from Kathmandu, reach Arughat Bazaar and embark on a 3-hour guided rafting excursion on the Budi Gandaki. Overnight camping at Aakhu Dovan.

Day 2: Resume rafting on the Budi Gandaki for 4 hours before transitioning to the Trishuli River. Arrive at Charaudi for overnight camping.

Day 3: Continue rafting on the Trishuli River for 3-4 hours, then transfer to Marshyangdi River for another 4-hour adventure. Overnight camping at Kurinighat.

Day 4: Explore a Remote Nepali village, then raft for an hour on Trishuli River until it meets the Marshyangdi River. Enjoy lunch on the way before concluding the journey at Simaltar. Transportation back to Kathmandu will be arranged.

Champadevi Hike

Champadevi Hike is a scenic hike to one of the religious site of Champadevi which culminates into an adventure of a different sort. A short hike from Pharping to Champadevi takes you through the lush forests to the pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists with a magnificent panorama of  Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Langtang, and Gaurishankar ranges. Champadevi Hike begins at Kathmandu. After an early morning breakfast, you’ll drive 19km south to Pharping on the way to DakshinKali temple. The hike begins at Pharping, an old Newari town. It is the place where Guru Rinpoche is said to have attained the enlightenment, hence, the place is home to numerous Buddhist monasteries. You’ll begin walking through the lush pine forest which goes gradually uphill for about half an hour. You’ll reach the northern ridge and ascend further to reach the revered site of Champadevi Temple. Champadevi Hill is the highest among the hills that surround the Kathmandu valley. The hike will last only a few hours which will take you to the top of the Champadevi ridge.

Along the way, you can enjoy the scenic panorama of the surrounding mountains namely Ganesh Himal (7422m), Annapurna (8091m), Langtang (7227m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and Gaurishankar (7134m). After enjoying the beautiful scenery, you’ll descend the same way back to Pharping and catch your commute back to the hotel. An aerial view of the Kathmandu valley maybe awesome but the road to Chisapani is even greater. Fight an uphill battle while taking in the scenery of Annapurna and Langtang. The road to Nagarkot goes through Jarsing Pauwa and it is at times pretty rough. You will see sparse settlements and delightful views but the food is much better. We continue on the road to Changunarayan and as we marvel at the architectural perfection, our guide will brief you about its history. Ultimately, head towards Kathmandu where your trip will end.

Nagarjun Jamacho Hike

Nagarjun Jamacho Hike is one of the nearest hikes to the capital, Kathmandu. Famous for offering serene trails and astounding scenic displays, the Nagarjun Jamacho Hike explores the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park to the north west of the valley. The hike also allows the travelers to take a quick break from the bustling city and enjoy the amenities of nature. Wandering through the national park, you can enjoy the melodies of the birds and animals as you tread to the top of the hill to Jamacho Monastery.

The Nagarjun Jamacho Hike initiates at Phulbari Gate, the entrance to the national park. The name Nagarjun, which also inspired the name of the hike, was derived from the name of Buddhist saint Nagarjun who came meditated in the forest and obtained enlightenment. The forest is thus named after the saint and, till date, the forest and the monastery are held in great respect by the people in the valley. The Nagarjun hill is sacred for both Hindu and Buddhists. While hiking to the top, you pass through the beautiful pine forests, numerous caves, and shrines. On the way, you can see wild animals like boar, monkeys, etc. and varieties of birds. The subtropical floras in this region also include many medicinal herbs.

The Jamacho viewpoint (2128 m), the highest point during this hike provides incredible views of mountain peaks like Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), and Langtang ranges. You also get to explore some ancient caves and visit Jamacho monastery where you can get some spiritual insight. After the hike, you retrace the trail to Phulbari Gate and head back to your hotel.  This is an easy hike so any nature love with moderate physical fitness can do this.
