Lobuche Peak Climbing

Although a challenging climb, Lobuche Peak Climbing is favored as a favorite climbing venture by most climbers. Beginning the trip with endearing treks through Sherpa villages and Sagarmatha National Park, the journey culminates at the summit of the Lobuche Peak (6119m). The summit has a panoramic view of Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,414 m), Ama Dablam (6,856 m), Nuptse (7,861 m), Cholatse (6,335 m), and Pumo Ri (7,165 m). The trek prior to the climb also takes you along the classic Everest Base Camp Trek revealing a number of cultural attractions as well.

This 20-day climbing journey begins at Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you will visit some UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and prepare for the trek. You will take a flight to Tenzing-Hilary Airstrip in Lukla and begin trekking.  The trek passes through popular Sherpa villages namely Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep en route to Everest Base Camp. Walk along with other climbers and trekkers, and locals, and yaks on the trek. A short hike from Gorakshep will take you to Kalapatthar that offers the up-close sight of the Everest summit.

Afterward, you’ll descend back to Lobuche village and take a detour east of the village to arrive at Lobuche High Camp (5,400m) located at the southwest ridge of the peak. The final climb accounts for a sharp ascent with an exposed ridge that poses difficulty. You will use fixed rope and climb up with the help of ice-axe and crampons. Once at the summit, you’ll be welcomed with the beautiful sight of the Everest Mountain Range. Afterward, you’ll descend to Pangboche village and trek back to Lukla via Namche. Compared to most other small-peaks, Lobuche requires some climbing and technical knowledge. Lobuche East remains accessible during two different seasons, spring (Mar-Jun) and autumn (Sep-Nov).

Mera Peak Climbing

The highest trekking peak in Nepal, Mera Peak (6,476m) is a great option for climbing amongst many trekkable peaks in Nepal. The trail on the Mera Peak Climbing goes through lush forests, glaciers, breathtaking passes, small Sherpa villages, and Buddhist stupas sprinkled throughout. It is one of the best adventures you can have in the Himalayan Region. Indulge in an exciting trek through the pristine Makalu Barun National Park while enjoying the wonderful vistas of the Himalayas.

The 19-day Mera Peak Climbing trip begins upon your arrival at Kathmandu. You will do a tour of the city for a day and visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites; Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath. The next day, you will embark on a short flight to Lukla. The trek begins at Lukla and gradually advances through the eastern section of Khumbu valley towards Barun Region. You will pass through numerous Sherpa villages namely Chutang, Kothe, and Thangnak en route to Khare.

You will travel through a pristine Makalu Barun National Park, the eastern extension of Sagarmatha National Park. It is also a home to Red Panda and numerous other exotic and rare wildlife. From Khare, you will make your way towards Mera Peak Base Camp. It’s a continuous ascent through the snow moraines, crevasses, and ice-path to the top. You will use ice-axe, crampon, and fixed ropes to summit the peak. Once at the summit, you will be welcomed with a majestic panorama of the Barun valley and the mesmerizing sights of Everest (8,848m), Cho Oyu (8,188m), Lhotse (8,414m), Makalu (8,463m), and Kanchenjunga (8,586m) among other peaks. From here, you will descend through Khare, Kothe, Zatrwa La Pass (4610m), and Chutang to Lukla. The trip concedes upon your return to Kathmandu. Mera Peak remains mostly accessible during spring (Mar-Jun) and autumn (Sep-Nov) seasons.

Island Peak Climbing

Climbing Island Peak accounts for a unique adventure in the eastern Himalayas of Nepal. Island Peak Climbing is one of best experiences of trekking in the Himalayan Region of Nepal. One can relish views of magnificent mountains from various points en route and pass through culturally rich Sherpa villages. On top of Island Peak, a 360o view of the entire valley awaits you along with some of the towering peaks of Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and Makalu (8,463m).

The 20-day Island Peak Climbing begins upon your arrival in Kathmandu City. You will do a full-day sightseeing tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu namely Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath. The next day, you will take a short flight to the small Himalayan village of Lukla. The trek begins at Lukla and gradually advances up north through the scenic Sherpa villages of Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep. You will head up to Everest Base Camp from Lobuche passing Gorakshep on the way. You return to Gorakshep and start an early morning hike to Kalapatthar (5,545m) the next morning. The summit offers glorious views of the mesmerizing Himalayan ranges including the Mt. Everest (8848m) itself.

Thereon, you descend to Chhukung village via Dingboche and head to the Island Peak Base Camp. The entire climbing may last around 12 hours. Once at the summit, enjoy the view of the entire valley and that of towering peaks like Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and Makalu (8,475m). Afterward, you will descend to Dingboche village and prepare to trek downhill to reach Lukla via Namche Bazaar. The trip comes to an end with your return from Lukla to Kathmandu. You can climb Island Peak during two different seasons namely spring (Mar-Jun) or autumn (Sep-Nov) season. These seasons guarantee best weather and accessibility.
